Human health, well-being, and relationships are vital to communities. Partnering with the College of Human Ecology, Cornell Cooperative Extension provides nutrition, health and resource management programs.

Programs aim to:

        • reduce the prevalence of childhood obesity and chronic disease through improved nutrition and health practices
        • foster appropriate parenting, child and elder care
        • provide education in financial literacy, health care issues, energy conservation, environmental hazards

 

 
 
 

Program Highlight

Eat Smart, Live Strong is a program for low-income seniors developed by the USDA Food and Nutrition Service and is being implemented by CCE Educators in Columbia County. The program sessions are designed to help older adults adopt two behaviors that may improve their health and overall well-being.
