Cornell Nutrient Analysis Laboratories
The Cornell Nutrient Analysis Laboratories provide accurate and cost effective analysis of soil, plant, and water samples for faculty, staff, and others.
Soil and Water Conservation Committee
The mission of the New York State Soil and Water Conservation Committee is to develop and oversee implementation of an effective soil and water conservation and agricultural nonpoint source water quality program for the State of New York that is implemented primarily through county Soil and Water Conservation Districts. Cornell Cooperative Extension and the Cornell College of Agriculture and Life Sciences are Advisory Members and also serve on the Agricultural Environmental Management Steering Committee.

Invasive Species
Integrated Pest Management
The New York State Integrated Pest Management Program develops sustainable ways to manage pests and help people to use methods that minimize environmental, health, and cost. This web site includes pest management for the home and the farm.
The Department of Entomology Insect Diagnostic Lab
has on-line fact sheets and information on insect identification and a mail-in diagnostic service that helps identify the pest and provide pest management suggestions.
Pests in the Northeastern United States
Fact sheets from the New York State Agricultural Experiment Station's Entomology department in Geneva, NY. (insect identification)
Environmental and Resource Economics
Research and extension efforts in this area focus on documenting the status of agro-environmental practices on New York farms, using nonmarket evaluation techniques to quantify the environmental costs associated with agriculture, evaluating policies designed to enhance farm profitability while minimizing environmental impacts, and examining factors that affect participation in voluntary conservation programs.
