Water Quality Extension Program
The Water Quality Extension Program in the Department of Textiles and Apparel, College of Human Ecology focuses on the protection and quality of private drinking water supplies.
Soil and Water Lab
The Soil and Water Lab is a dynamic and innovative research group in Cornell University's Department of Biological and Environmental Engineering. Its broad mission is to improve the understanding of physical, chemical, and biological processes related to water flow with the ultimate goal of improving and protecting water resources and ecological systems throughout the world and in socially conscious ways.
LEAPE
Locally-led Education and Action for Protecting the Environment (LEAPE) is an educational program for local governments interested in protecting water resources in their communities. LEAPE offers basic education about pollution of surface and groundwater, the relationship of water resources protection to traditional local government responsibilities, actions local government can take to protect and improve water quality, and sources of technical and financial resources.

NYS Water Resources Institute
the purpose of WRI is research, education and technology transfer. Under state law, WRI is directed to "pursue and sponsor, both at Cornell and elsewhere, investigations and experiments of a practical or basic nature, the education and training of scientists and specialists, and outreach for the dissemination of information and provision of technical assistance relating to the state's water resources.
The Water Quality Information Center
The National Agricultural Library has updated its database of online documents covering water and agriculture. The database, located at http://grande.nal.usda.gov/wqic/, now provides access to more than 1,800 documents.
National Drought Mitigation Center
The National Drought Mitigation Center helps people and institutions develop and implement measures to reduce societal vulnerability to drought. The NDMC, based at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, stresses preparation and risk management rather than crisis management.
