Karen Kleinkopf, whose two daughters attend Great Salt Bay Community School in Damariscotta, Maine, visited the cafeteria at lunchtime one day last fall. "The response was incredible," she says. "Little kids were eating organic potatoes saying, 'I love this. Can we have this every day?' "
'Good Food Gardens' to be Unveiled at Slow Food Nation
Food Network and charitable partner, Share Our Strength(R), will unveil a new original platform called Good Food Gardens on August 28 in San Francisco at Slow Food Nation ( http://www.slowfoodnation.org), the largest celebration of American food.
