Fuel Use Estimator - as farmers acquire land farther from the farm, the question of fuel use comes up. Does the cost of fuel make it economical to travel to distant fields? Using this calculator, you can type in your own variables (such as distance traveled, road speed, diesel price) and get an estimate of fuel cost. This is a new, recently developed tool through CCE Lewis County.

4-H Welcome

4-H is a community of young people across America who are learning leadership, citizenship and life skills. Visit us here to see how CCE in Franklin County is helping youth accomplish this.

4-H Leader's Creed

I believe-

The 4-H Member is more important than the 4-H project

Learning how to do the project is more important than the project itself.

4-H'ers should be their own best exhibits

No award is worth sacrificing the reputation of a member or a leader.

Competition should be given no more emphasis than other fundamentals of 4-H work.

To learn by doing is fundamental in any sound educational program and is characteristic of the 4-H program.

Generally speaking, there is more than one good way to do most things.

Every 4-H member needs to be noticed, to feel important, to win and to be praised.

Our job as a leader should be to teach 4-H members how to think, not what to think.
