NYSACAA
Actions for the Membership
In-Service
Education
NYSACAA
has been a "voice" for agricultural educators with the CCE administration.
We are fortunate to enjoy a mutally respectful and beneficial relationship
that benefits all ag educators.
NYSACAA
has worked with the adminstration, particularly with Ed Harwood, to improve
the organization and content of in-service education. Some accomplishments in the past are:
- Co-sponsor
the spring 2001 "Ag Production Week" and regional meetings with
Associate Directors Harwood and Smith.
- Provided leadership and financial support for the March 10-11, 1999 Conflict
Management workshop. Director Ewert joined us for the workshop
and an evening discussion of the Agricultural Systems Initiative.
Performance
Reviews
Field staff
were asked to provide input into the personnel reviews of on-campus staff.
We asked for clarification of the type of information wanted
and how to submit that information. The adminsitration responded with
guidelines.
Pesticide
Training Materials
The Pesticide
Education Program at Cornell has updated its list of resources for us
to use in pesticide applicator training.
