Master Gardener Volunteer Training

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Putnam County is now accepting applications for Master Gardener Volunteer training. Training begins on September 11, 2008. Volunteers are given in-depth training on a wide variety of horticulture topics. Upon successful completion of the training program, graduates volunteer 30 hours per year working on community projects and educating Putnam County residents about environmentally sound gardening. Candidates must have a basic knowledge of gardening, a flexible schedule and be Putnam County residents. Master Gardener volunteers share the knowledge they have gained with the community. Enrich your life by learning more and meeting others who share your love of gardening! For more info: becoming a master gardener brochure,
master gardener application, class schedule, master gardener interest survey, or call 845-278-6738.
