Located at Cedar Beach Marina in Babylon, on Ocean Parkway, we are about 4 miles west of Robert Moses Causeway. Since 2002, our goal has been to reach as many Suffolk County residents as possible with educational programs of all types, offering unique opportunities to learn about our vital marine environment. For more information about Cornell Cooperative Extension's Marine Program or to find out about our educational programs, call us at 631-587-2873.

Environmental Education for Youth, Adults, Families and Schools

The Sport Fishing Education Center offers schoolchildren and adults year-round exciting marine science programs and field trips which explore the unique environments Long Island has to offer. Our programs are aimed at all age levels including school groups, community groups, families, teachers, adults and children.

Outreach Education

Our Marine Educators are also dedicated to Suffolk County schools. During the school year educators travel all over Suffolk County teaching students about the unique marine environments that make up Long Island. Classes are designed to teach students about specific aspects of the marine environment.
