| The Sea Explorers Marine Day Camp is a weeklong summer experience for children ages 6-8 and 9-11. Our marine educators use hands-on activities to teach about marine science and Long Islands marine environment. Your child will explore local beaches and salt marshes to learn about the fascinating creatures that live there. They will also have close encounters with a variety of marine animals in our touch tanks. Other activities your child will enjoy include:
Each session is held Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Cornell Cooperative Extension in cooperation with the Sport Fishing Alliance is proud to present this program to you. The Sport Fishing Alliance is made up of members from several organizations including Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County, NYSDEC, New York Sea Grant, Long Island Beach Buggy Association, and New York Fishing Tackle Trades Association. It is our hope that children and adults will learn stewardship and an appreciation for protecting, conserving and restoring our aquatic natural resources. | ![]() |
