Tompkins County Community Beautification Program

2008 Volunteer Training

Each spring, summer and fall volunteers help plant and maintain the Ithaca Commons, city traffic medians and other public planting areas in the city of Ithaca. Each winter we provide training for those who are interested in volunteering on a regular basis with the program. This is a great way to learn how to garden in tough sites, meet fun and interesting volunteers, and make a difference in your community. No special skills or experience necessary to be a Beautification Brigade volunteer.

Our training sessions are over for 2008. If you still want to join the Beautifiction Brigade in 2008, or if you want to be notified about our training in 2009, please contact me.
