Ag In The Classroom
Tompkins County Ag in the Classroom has many agricultural and environmental resources available for lending to teachers, home schoolers, clubs and families. Resources were chosen for elementary age children and include books, videos, games, posters and lots of activities and lessons, all grouped by themes. Trained volunteers are available to help consumers explore their options regarding various consumer issues including: New/Used Car Warranties, Credit, Money Management, Home Repairs, Home Maintenance, Insurances, Landlord/Tenant Rights & Responsibilities, Scams/Frauds, Merchandise Selection, Merchandise Complaints, Lead Based Paint Issues, Asbestos, Indoor Air Quality, Working with a Contractor, Radon Ventilation. Call 272-2292 weekdays, 10 am to 2 pm.

Cornell Cooperative Extension is proud of the many household, business, and group composting systems in the County. We are recording and recognizing these wonderful efforts by putting all composters on the Map — literally! To register your compost system and be included in prize drawings, please call 272-2292 and ask for the "Compost Information Card."
