4-H : Adult Volunteer

clover4-H Adult Volunteer

There are many different roles adult volunteers can play.  For example:

Organizational Leader- an advisor and coordinator to a group of 4-H members, helping them organize and maintain their club.

Assistant Leader- Assists the organizational leader with the club.

Activity Leader- Works with both youth and adults in planning events and other activities, locally and district wide.

Program/ Advisory Committee Member- Provides direction for youth programming in the county.

Adult volunteers are given an orientation and are given ongoing guidance with professional 4-H staff.  Volunteers are notified about activities coming up through our monthly newsletter, Key Notes.  Also the Cornell Cooperative Extension Office is your resource for project materials.  Adult volunteers make 4-H work in Washington County.
