Using This Course Online or on CD

This course is available online at www.northeastnewfarmer.org or on a compact disc (CD). When using the disc many of the materials are available offline but most of the resources are links to external websites or online materials. Offline resources are links but do not contain "www" or "http://".

Example of an offline resouce:
General Health Care of Sheep and Goats University of Maryland Maryland Cooperative Extension found online at http://www.sheepandgoat.com/articles/generalhealthcare.html

Example of an online resource:
Sheep Pocket Guide by North Dakota State University Extension Service http://www.ext.nodak.edu/extpubs/ansci/sheep/as989-1.htm

Unfortunately, because of the nature of the internet fairly soon after this course is produced online links may begin to go bad. To help prevent that some of the links don't go directly to a resource but to the website of the provider of the resource. You then must find the resource on their website. In the text there are no hidden links. The web address is shown so that if a link does go bad you may be able to still locate the site by truncating the address.
For example:
If the original link is..http://www.ext.nodak.edu/extpubs/ansci/sheep/as989-1.htm
and that link didn't work you could try putting a shortened version into the address bar on your web browser http://www.ext.nodak.edu/extpubs/ or shorten it more to http://www.ext.nodak.edu to see if you can find the site. Alternatively, you can type the title into a search engine such as Google. If you don't find the original resource you may find information similar to it.

Many of the materials are in Adobe Acrobat Format (PDF). The Adobe Acrobat Reader is a free download from http://www.adobe.com found online at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
