Press Releases : Food Safety Regulations for Agricultural Businesses Program News Release Date: February 1, 2005 Phone: 518-746-2560 Food Safety Regulations for Agricultural Businesses ProgramThe Food Safety Regulations for Agricultural Businesses program will be held on February 17 at 7:00 pm at the Cornell Cooperative Extension Office on 50 West High Street, Ballston Spa. Food safety regulations and licensing are important to understand when selling food products through a retail outlet such as at a farmers' market or from a farm stand. A representative from the NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets Food Safety and Inspection department will discuss and cover food safety regulations in regards to selling meat, eggs, and processed food products such as baked goods and jams at farmers markets, from the farm, or other retail outlets.
