FREE PARENTING CLASSES Parenting a Second Time Around

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Washington County will be offering a six-week Parenting Class beginning on Wednesday, January 18th, 2006. Parenting a Second Time Around is a support program designed to assist grandparents or non-custodial caregivers who are raising grandchildren to cope with some of the issues they face in their role as caregiver in a multi-generation family.

The weekly topics include: Finding the Help You Need, Financial Assistance, Understanding Legal Issues, Discipline, School Support and Taking Care of Yourself, Dealing with Your Grandchildren's Parents.

Classes will meet January 18, February 8, March 8, April 12, May 10, and June 14 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Classes are held at the Argyle Central School Library. You do not need to attend all the classes.
