Welcome to the CCE Compost Network Database!

CCE of Washington County has started a composting network to facilitate the beneficial use of organic wastes like leaves, wood chips, manures, animal bedding, lake weeds, paper wastes, and any other materials suitable for composting.

The network is simply a list of businesses, municipalities, and other entities that are associated with composting in the region of Washington County, southern Warren County, eastern Saratoga County, and northern Rennselaer County. The list includes entities that generate organic wastes suitable for composting; that do composting; that have materials for compost site improvement (rubble, recycled cement and asphalt); that rent or sell machinery; and that provide trucking or other services.

By facilitating local arrangements to manage organic wastes within our region, everyone can benefit by reduced hauling costs and labor, increased access to composting materials, and protecting the environment. The goal is to connect different sectors of the community and improve waste management for both the agricultural and nonagricultural community.
