July 28-Aug 1 for middle school youth interested in a career in the fruit and
vegetable industry.
Project AgVenture FVI Survivor Camp will feature a different adventure in the Fruit & Vegetable Industry each day, culminating in a survivor challenge at a local supermarket modeled after the popular television program. Site visits will be made to different farms or ag & food processing industries each day of the week as well as a visit to the NYS Ag Experiment Station in Geneva and a local Farmers’ Market. The Lake Plains 4-H Program has received a grant from the NYS Director of Cooperative Extension to launch this program for youth interested in a career in Fruit and Vegetable Production. This program will expand their interest in the fruit and vegetable industries and engage youth in skill and career development to become future Fruit or Vegetable Farm business owners and managers.
