Suffolk County is the largest agricultural county in New York State in sales of product. We have the largest and fastest growing wine industry, ranked second only to California in US grape production, and the state’s largest horticultural sales and service industry.

Agriculture continues to work in Suffolk County because growers continue to adapt to the changing environment by diversifying crops and adopting new technologies. Working side by side with our growers is the Agricultural Program of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County.
