Parenting Skills Workshop Series
This is a program for parents/caregivers who want to improve the way they
talk with their children. The skills of:
* Encouragement
* Can Do
* Choices
* Self-Control
* Respecting Feelings
are
explained, discussed and practiced. The workshop helps parents understand
how children's behavior is affected by the way parents talk with them.
Workshops meet for 8 weeks, with each session lasting 2 hours. This 8-workshop
series is offered 6 times each year at locations throughout Tompkins County.
The workshops are free, and free childcare often is provided.
