Finger Lakes Culinary Bounty Harvest Dinner

11th annual Tompkins County Farm City Day
Farm Open House and Agricultural Education Fair
August 11, 11 am – 4 pm
Angel Tree Farm, Scofield Rd. Lansing
Visit to a small, friendly Alpaca farm, learn about fiber animals and about making fiber products.  Border collie & sheepherding exhibition. Learn about Tompkins County Agriculture.  Free. 

 

Farm Trail Weekend
August 16 – 17
Noon – 5 each day
Visit a farm, sample products, learn about local agriculture!  Over 12 farms to choose from featuring all kinds of farming from antique apples, specialty cheeses, u-pick crops, grazing livestock and more.  Tour one day or both, visit as many farms as you are able.
$5 per car (4 people) or $2 per person for one or two days.

Farm Trail Weekend participants and the general public is invited for an evening at the IFM featuring foods from our vendors.  $10/person for Farm Trail Weekend participants; $15/general public. Space is limited, call 607-272-2292 to make a reservation.

Culinary Passport - Support Local Farms and Restaurants
September 1 - September 30
Eat local..win prizes!  Visit participating restaurants, order menu items made with local foods, get a stamp in your passport and qualify to win one of the fabulous prizes if you get three or more stamps. Six or more stamps gets you entered into a special grand prize drawing. You will find passports at participating restaurants, at the Visitor Bureau and Cooperative Extension. 

 

Fine Field Dining
Enjoy a unique Out-in-the-Field Dining Experience with produce from host farms, meats or other farm products from neighboring farms all creatively prepared by some of the area’s best chefs and paired with wonderful Finger Lakes wines. Proceeds from the dinners go to subsidize CSA shares for low-income families in Tompkins County. Make dinner reservations via www.ediblefingerlakes.com
