New Farmer Workshop January 17, 2009
Marketing and Grants 101 for Your Agricultural Business .

Farm signs are a key element when attracting customers to the farm

In today’s farming economy, small agricultural businesses should consider retail and direct marketing as part of their business plan. On January17, the Marketing and Grants 101 for Your Agricultural Business workshop will be held to help newly aspiring farmers or current farmers looking to diversify. By attending the workshop, participants will have a better understanding what marketing is, the 5 P’s of marketing and the impact that smart marketing will have on your bottom line. Participants will also learn about available grants opportunities for their agricultural business.

The workshop will be held on January 17 from 9 am to 11:30 am at the First Pioneer Farm Credit office located at Route 29 in Greenwich. Registration is $10, please pre-register to guarantee materials. Call Cornell Cooperative Extension at 1-800-548-0881 to pre-register. For more information on future New Farmer Workshops, see the New Farmer Workshop brochure.
