To engage people age 55 and older in volunteer service to meet critical community needs and to provide a high quality experience that will enrich the lives of volunteers. History The partnership between Cornell Cooperative Extension of Schuyler County and the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program began in 1973. Senior volunteer services were expanded to include Yates County in 1985. Who May Enroll? Any person age 55 or older may serve as an RSVP volunteer, regardless of race, creed, color, disability, sex, income, education or experience.
