The Compost Education Program supports the goals of the Solid Waste Management Division by reducing the amount of compostable materials handled by the County, thereby reducing the cost of their operations to the taxpayer. This mission is achieved by training and supporting community volunteers to educate and enthuse the public about the benefits and methods of composting.
